DANIEL LANDIN
(Director of Photography)
Daniel Landin started his career making Super 8 & 16mm films to project during the performances of the militant classicist groups ‘Last Few Days’ & ‘Laibach’. He soon realised he was more interested in the total control of filmmaking, than music itself. After making a number of independent films, he concentrated on working as a DoP, initially shooting music videos (Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Verve, Massive Attack, Bjork, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, etc), and subsequently commercials as well.
He has worked with a huge number of artists including Maroon 5 (SUNDAY MORNING), Kylie (CHOCOLATE), Bjork (POSSIBLY MAYBE, ALARM CALL, HUNTER), Richard Ashcroft (MONEY TO BURN), Robbie Williams (SHE'S THE ONE), Oasis (D’YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, CIGARETTES & ALCOHOL, WHATEVER), The Verve (BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY), Massive Attack (ANGEL & TEARDROP), Ian Brown (MY STAR) and Smashing Pumpkins (AVA ADORE).
His commercials clients include Tango, Stella, Ford, Nike, Toyota, LandRover, Mercedes, Guinness, Orange, Lynx, Nintendo, Levis, Wrangler, Kodak, L’Oreal, Sony Playstation, Amex and Diet Coke.
In feature films, his credits include Paul Weiland’s SIXTY SIX, 2nd Unit Photography on Guy Ritchie’s SNATCH, and additional photography on Jonathan Glazer’s SEXY BEAST. He recently completed work on Charles Guard’s THE UNINVITED, due for release next year.
